Words and Thoughts. Pt 2. January 7
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
Once again what a great way to begin our days, asking for our words and thoughts to be pleasing to God. Our words are important to us and God.
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21
That is a powerful verse. Which means what we say does have real effect on us, others and in the heavens. So today, speak gentle, kind, wholesome words. Talk positively about our lives and Gods work in us and our church. Pray with words of faith over our loved ones and brothers and sisters in the Lord. We will here a lot of evil and perverse things spoken by some people. Block those out of your heart and think upon the good words of men and women. Dwell upon Gods words of promise unto you. And for sure from now on let’s Guard our own lips. It’s easy especially in trying times to say things we shouldn’t. May God forgive us. That old saying “if you can’t say something good don’t say anything at all” has a lot of wisdom in it. So today and each day let’s ask God: May the Words of my Mouth and the Meditation of my heart be pleasing unto You, O Lord.
