To know your Faith. December 17
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. 1 Thessalonians 3:5
Paul the apostle while writing to the church of the Thessalonians, shows us what he was most concerned about for the Christian. It was their Faith! He didn’t send to check on their buildings, finances or how many of them there was. But he wanted to know about their Faith. We’re they still believing and trusting in the Lord Jesus as Saviour? And living it out day by day. He knew the tempter (satan) would be trying to hinder them. There are many things that try our faith. Sometimes it’s problems of various sorts or even good things of this world can pull us away from God. Paul says if you’ve been moved from the Faith then the rest is vain. Whatever you do brother and sister, tend to your faith. Hold to the Lord Jesus and let nothing move you. Some days are better than others but whatever the day brings you keep trusting in Him.
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22
