And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
We are persuaded like Abraham that the promises of God are real and true. Then when it comes time for the performance of the promises, God must take over . We have faith and patience until the Lord works on our behalf and he surely will. The performance of the big things are all up to God, our salvation, help in times of trouble, peace, joy, knowing what to do in certain decisions, all take God stepping in and answering our prayers and meeting our needs. Once in Mathew chapter 8 a leper came to Jesus and said. If you “will” you can make me whole. I looked up that word “will” it means if you choose and prefer. Jesus said I “will” or I choose and prefer, be thou whole and immediately the leprosy left him. I believe the Lord Jesus chooses and prefers to help us this very day. Let’s ask him, then believe the promises and surely he will perform his will in our lives. Romans 4:21 says since Abraham had this outlook, it was counted to him as righteousness. It wasn’t because he worked so hard but because he continued to believe God. Then the scripture say, all this wasn’t just for his sake but for ours also who continue to believe .
