The time of His Visitation! February 27

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. Luke 19:44

Jerusalem was missing the time of Gods visitation to them. When I read about Gods times of visitation, I often think of Gideon in judges chapter six. He was alone(so he thought) hiding from the Midianites. He was preparing wheat to be eaten. He was feeling pretty low and the reason he was hiding while preparing the wheat was because the Midianites would take it from him. Unawares to him God had sent an angel of the Lord who was sitting under an oak tree watching him. The angel was fixing to give him a message from God about Israel’s deliverance from the Midianites. Today lets be aware of Gods presence in and around us. At certain times Gods Holy Spirit comes to us loud and clear and when He does let’s listen and obey. He may come while we’re reading our bibles as a certain scripture comes alive to our hearts or in times of prayer or praise. He may visit our lives in a worship service or while performing daily task. One thing is for sure, He is God and He will do it as He pleases. Our part is to listen, trust, obey and receive the word of the Lord.
