We see God the Father as the owner of all. Jesus teaches a parable that describes this. The Father as the owner of a vineyard (earth) allowing man to operate the vineyard... we see Jesus Christ as the faithful Son, sent by the Father, to the tenants of the vineyard to receive their honor, love, respect, thanksgiving and fruit towards the Father.
But what is the role of the Holy Spirit? After all, He is the third person of the Trinity: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He was involved in creation, “The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” But then did He disappear into hiding until all things are finished? OH NO!
Even to this very day He is active in our world! Some may say, how? Let’s look at that..
John 14:16 , Jesus said “I will pray the Father and He shall give you another comforter, that He may abide with you forever.” Jesus was telling the disciples He was going away. They were troubled at the saying because He had been their comfort, teacher, helper and guide while He was with them. Now they were worried and discouraged wondering what they would do. Jesus replied , “Do not worry, I will send the Holy Spirit to be with you.” Jesus first calls Him another Comforter, which means, advocate. By definition an advocate is a person who publicly supports. Oh, the Holy Spirit is our very present support in the world today! And if ever we needed comfort it is today!
Allow the Holy Spirit to comfort you today through quiet meditation upon Gods Word, His Son and communion with the Holy Spirit.
