The Paraclete October 12
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26
In the King James Version the Holy Ghost is called the comforter. The word comforter is translated from the Greek word Paraclete which comes from the word parachaleo, which means to call to ones aid. Jesus was saying, I’m going away but I will not leave you alone. I will send the Holy Spirit to you, He is called to be your aid. Oh my, today the Holy Spirit has come into the believers life to aid us on our journey. Truly this is a comfort to us for we are not alone. May you allow the Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, teach and aid you in all you need today.
