The Lord is our inheritance. June 5.

And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession. Ezekiel 44:28

When Israel came into the promised land the land was divided to them by their tribes. But for the tribe of Levi, which was the priest, they received no inheritance. Sounds a little unfair, until God says I am their inheritance. His presence would be near them always. His ears and eyes would be especially open unto them. And their desire would be upon Him. Sounds like a wonderful inheritance to me. The New Testament says that we believers are kings and priests. Whatever we have of this world doesn’t compare to what the almighty does for us in our hearts and minds and just think of our final inheritance; The New Heaven and Earth that God has prepared for us, for all eternity. It’s worth waiting for.
