The head of the Church. April 14

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Colossians 1:18

It now seems fitting, that Christ would be the head of the church. Who else? But he that shed His blood for her and died for her and who also has risen again for her, the church. All the believers world wide. He being so true, so faithful the Father now says, Jesus you are the head of your church. Now today let’s truly ask him, lord be our head, not just head of the worldwide church but also the head of our church, the head of me. Tell him lord be The head of my life. In a properly functioning body. The head gives the direction, then the body goes into motion, fulfilling the desires of the head. Physically we do this everyday. I have a feeling most everyone reading this has trusted the lord as their savior, now let’s obey him as our head. Trusting and obeying are close cousins and they work so well together. Here after Easter, let’s not just find something to do, let’s ask our head, lord show me what you would have me do. We can find direction in the Bible also by taking time in prayer to ask and allowing the Holy Spirit during times of prayer to speak to our hearts what Jesus would have us do now. We will know as we trust and obey his will each day. May God lead you!!
