The Golden Pot of Manna. January 30.
And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; Hebrews 9:3-4
The ark of the covenant was a very elaborate chest type furniture that was in the most holy place within the tabernacle.Upon It was where the presence of God was known to dwell in the Old Testament. Inside this chest type furnishing was kept a Golden pot with manna in it. It was to remember how God had provided manna on the ground every morning for all those Israelite, while they marched thru the wilderness (Exodus 16:1-19). It was there where they would never forget what God had done for them. Today our hearts should be our Golden pot of manna. In our hearts we should never forget all that God has provide. All that God has done for us in so many ways. Even miracles He has done for us, our church, our families. Let your heart be the place where these things are preserved. Let your lips be the lid that opens and gives others a glimpse of what God can do. Thank God for all He has done and may our hearts be the Golden pot that holds the manna.
