Seeing the invisible. April 15

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king:for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Hebrews 11:27

Moses had a pretty cushy set up in Egypt. He lived within the Wealth of The king of Egypt. The riches, sin, pleasure, luxury of Egypt all within his reach. But there was something in Moses that just couldn’t feel comfortable there. He just couldn’t settle there, praise God. Was it the prayers of his Godly Israelite parents? Was it the call of God? Was it the teaching about God he had received while his mother nursed him? Was it the tender heart Moses had toward his people? Probably some of all these things worked together to cause Moses to one day decide I can’t live like this, I can’t stay here, even if it cost me all I am. How could he forsake all this, and throw his life in with a group of slaves? The scriptures tell us. BY FAITH. He saw the one who is invisible. He saw him, not with physical eyes but eyes of faith. Oh may we also in our hearts see the invisible one, the king eternal and place our trust in him. Forsaking sin and following after him, serving his church, the people of God. We can trust him today, for we have a promise : I will never leave you nor forsake you. to be continued.....
