Preserved. September 22

Then David put garrisons in Syria-Damascus; and the Syrians became Davids servants, and brought gifts. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went. 1 Chronicles 18:6

King David certainly had plenty of enemies from the Philistines to the Amonites and Syrians even some from is own people. He often warred with them, they were strong enemies, but somehow in someway God always caused David to be victorious over whoever he was warring with. Now our enemies are not Philistines or Amonites as a matter of fact their not even flesh and blood, but spiritual wickedness that is set against us. They are like the Syrians, strong and plenty. Yet at the same time God has promised, I will be with you. In whatever we do for him and in whatever concerns us, God will help us. You will not be defeated as we cling to Jesus Christ. Oh you must fight many battles.Through prayer, obedience and trust In His Word He will preserve us. Even in those battles that seem impossible, where you are outnumbered and seemingly overwhelmed, don’t faint.Bring it to God in prayer. Just look unto me, He says and I will see you through. I will preserve you as I preserved my servants of Old. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: To whom be glory forever and ever . Amen. 2 Timothy 4:18
