No Sign of Him. December 13
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18
No matter who we are, how much faith we have. There will come trials and troubles. In the book of Job it is said ; man is born to trouble, just as the sparks of a fire fly upward. But this does not mean God is distant. Job felt like God had left him and was nowhere to be found. The truth was God was watching intensely, Job and his response to his troubles. And so is He watching us today. There are many things to do when we’re experiencing trouble: We should definitely pray and keep praying, search the Bible for encouragement, talk to other Christians, examine our lives, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit who is our guide, just simply trust God and many more. But I sure like what Habakkuk did he: Rejoiced in God anyway, and Found joy in the God of his salvation. I think we should do the same even this very day and everyday to come. This is not always easy when our hearts are heavy. But just remember, God did finally show up for Job and wow what a meeting and what a blessing Job experienced in the end. Brothers and Sisters are blessings in the end are going to be much greater than Jobs. So rejoice and find joy in him today.
