I will see you again. April 3

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. John 16:22

Saturday had to be a confusing and disappointing day for the disciples. After all they had experienced, the great days of ministry with Jesus, the continuous teaching He gave to them as they went along. But now silence and fear. Yet Jesus had told them before hand “I will see you again”. They weren’t putting all this together until after the resurrection. Same with us, sometimes we will go thru trials, sorrows and troubles but He has also given us great promises. Sometimes in these trials it’s hard to put it all together. The Lord sometimes seems distant. But this we can trust, His promises to us in the Holy scripture will be fulfilled.

Sure enough:

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. Mathew 28:16-17

They met Him again, just as He had Promised even after all they had experienced. The Lords promises held true. And so will they for us. Let’s not doubt , but believe.
