Follow me. November 27

This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. John 21:19

Jesus and Peter we’re taking a walk on the Shore of the sea of Galilee. When Peter hears those all important words follow me.These same words Jesus speaks to every believer. Our lives are no longer to be determined by our desires or plans but by what Jesus wants to do in our lives. To follow Him means to keep his commandments and to pray, asking for His will for our lives. It is to say Lord, what will you have me to do? On this walk Peter sees John following. And he asked what about him Lord, what will he do? Jesus answer was, Peter, what is that to you, you follow me. Everyone will have a little different cross to carry. We don’t have to worry about carrying someone else’s, you just fulfill His will for you. We don’t have to measure up to what someone else is doing, just what God wants you to do. He does have a particular way for you, that is best for you and His kingdom. So today let’s follow on to know Him and his purposes for our lives.
