I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 5: Another Angel
In the sixth month of Elizabeths pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of king David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, " Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you."
Youve Got to be kidding, another angel? Not only an angel but the angel Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God. Twice in a matter of a few months he is conversing with a person. The previous centuries were mostly silent, bible scholars often call this period the silent years. But oh, when Gods time had come did, He ever began to speak. Just because God has been somewhat silent in a situation of your life certainly doesn't mean He is not listening. Keep praying and believing and listening to God. When it's time, in His will and way He will answer us.
