I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 28: Simeon's Prophecy
So, when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the law required, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, saying, Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace, as you have promised. I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared for all people. He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel. Luke 2; 27-32
Simeon knew that this baby was the light of the world. So much darkness then and now as the devil blinds people to the truth. But thank God Jesus has come to Light the way and we no longer have to walk in the darkness of sin and fear. We can now walk in the Light.
