I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 26: Simeon Inside Information
At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him and had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the lord's Messiah. Luke 2:25-26
What a promise that God made to Simeon. He would not die until he saw the Saviour. A Miracle indeed, that a man could know of such a thing ahead of time. We would say today he had some inside information. It was given to him by the Holy Spirit whom Jesus said would show God's servants things to come. Still today through the Holy Spirit God Almighty can give us inside information of things to come. Notice what the bible says about Simeon, he was Righteous, devoted and waiting for the Messiah. Sounds like a worthy goal for you and I also. Then as with him may it be with us, the Holy Spirit was upon him.
