I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 22: Sheperd's on the hill side.
That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. Don't be afraid he said. I bring you good news that will be great joy to all people. Luke 2:8-10
Weve talked about so many miracles that they tend to not seem so miraculous. But I guarantee you if it was us on that dark hillside at night and suddenly the angels appeared in splendor, bringing glory to God, we would never forget it. Shepherds were the lowly crew of society, but they were the first to hear the good news. Truly, God came for us all no matter our status or position.
