I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 2: An Angel appears
One day Zechariah was serving God in the temple, for his order was on duty that week. As was the custom of the priests, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and burn incense. While the incense was being burned, a great crowd stood outside praying. While Zechariah was in the Sanctuary, an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the incense altar. Luke 1:8-11
There is certainly a lot about angels we don't understand but it seems like when God was about to do something wonderful, He announced it by an angel. Take for instance Gideon, Samson, Joshua, Abraham and many others. I once read "before God does almost anything He speaks about it first". He certainly Has in the bible. God does still move in our situations today; we will have to leave it in His hands as to whether he will use an angel sent to us or not. However, there is no doubt they are ministers used by God to help his people even unto this very day!
