I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 17: Johns Lifestyle
John grew up and became strong in spirit. And he lived in the wilderness until he began his public ministry to Israel. Luke 1;80
What if today a man suddenly came out from the mountains and entered the church, dressed in animal skin, carrying a lunch of locust and wild honey. We would all be shocked. But the real shocker would be when he spoke, multitudes from all over the nation came to hear him. Then were baptized and obeyed the word of God he spoke. We would say this is miraculous. God had a plan for John, and it intertwined with the birth and life of Jesus. It seems today that the Christian thing is to try and fit in with the world. But John the greatest man ever born a natural birth (according to Jesus) was completely separate from it. Let's be the holy men and women God has called us to be, separate from sin and dedicated to God.
