I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 14: He has Helped Israel
He has helped his servant Israel and remembered to be merciful. For he made this promise to our ancestors, Abraham and his children forever. Luke 1;54-55
When you think about how tiny the nation of Israel is, how many enemies they have and are surrounded by. God has certainly done miracles to keep them both in past times and modern. The main reason for all their enemies is because of Christmas, the birth of Christ. They are the nation God chose to bring his son thru. They are small and certainly not perfect, but God has fulfilled the promise he made long ago of the Saviour coming thru them. We may be small and not as perfect as we want to be, but God has also made promises to us thru this Saviour. None greater than, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life".
