I started looking to see if I could find a miracle associated with the Christmas story in the bible for every day in December. I quickly realized this wouldn't be hard to do. I don't know if you have ever realized all of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus, but they are numerous. Let's look at one each day of December.
Miracle 10: Elizabeth speaks by the Holy Spirit
At the sound of Mary's greeting, Elizabeth's child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, "God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed." Luke 1:41-42
Elizabeth had not spoken to Mary prior to her arrival but when she saw Mary, she spoke out inspired by the Holy Spirit and proclaimed how blessed Mary was to have this baby. And that the baby was also blessed of God. How did Elizabeth know this? It could only be that the Holy Spirit revealed it to her at the moment she saw Mary. Oh, the Holy Spirit still speaks to us today. Let's allow him to do so.
