Bless the Lord. October 10

And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king. 1 Chronicles 29:20

Amongst David’s last instruction as king was to encourage the people to bless the Lord. Which just means to praise and thank him for all he has done and will do. And even to just worship Him for who He is. It’s always proper to be praising and thanking God, even as we go about our daily duty’s or recreation. One great way to keep ourselves in God way throughout the day is to sing praises unto him not only does it bless him it lifts us up to. Today one of the greatest things we can do is bless the Lord with our lips, and our thoughts. In one way the Lord doesn’t need a blessing, He owns it all. But in another way He looks forward for you to bless him today. Thank God for his blessings on us. Let’s return it today with praise and thanks.
